Consider the future of business systems

Scenario prompts 23 June 2025

#Mindcandy are scenario prompts to help companies formulate strategy. Find out more here.

Scenario prompts 23 June 2025

The scenario prompt for today is the future of business systems. Look at the image. Consider terms such as hyper-synthetic data, earth intelligence, sensor fusion, polyfunctional robots, and of course AI.

The other prompts are squid skin, circularity, sustainability, robots doing a heart transplant (without cracking open the chest), human-animal chimeras, 37 dimensions, innovation, cyborg tadpoles, and you are the upgrade.

Color-changing skins inspired by squids created for robots to react without wires, screens

The stretchable skins could enable wearable tech that monitors temperature, pH, and humidity—all at once without rigid electronics.

How Circularity Can Be a Strategic Response to Tariffs

https://hbr.org/2025/06/how-circularity-can-be-a-strategic-response-to-tariffs

Globalization is fracturing. Tariffs, trade wars, resource nationalism, and supply chain shocks are no longer rare disruptions—they’re the new normal. Read https://www.ronimmink.com/deglobalisation-and-system-collapse/

Companies that integrate sustainability at their core today will shape the future

Sustainability is not an option but a strategic necessity.

First fully robotic heart transplant in the US performed without opening patient's chest

https://eandt.theiet.org/2025/06/19/first-fully-robotic-heart-transplant-us-performed-without-opening-chest

The robot navigated through the preperitoneal space in the abdominal wall to remove the diseased heart. The same route was then used to implant the donor organ.

Human cells grown in mice in ‘crazy’ experiment, lab-grown organs one step closer

https://interestingengineering.com/science/human-cells-grown-in-mice-in-crazy-experiment-lab-grown-organs-one-step-closer

Scientists have advanced human-animal chimera research by successfully growing human cells within the organs of mice.

Scientists Produced a Particle of Light That Simultaneously Accessed 37 Different Dimensions

If we’ve only discovered the tip of the iceberg, just imagine what quantum breakthroughs are lurking just below the surface.

What Neuromorphic Computing Can Teach Us About Innovation

https://su-7432255.hs-sites.com/the-singularity-monthly-neuromorphic-computing-innovation

By innovating along a completely different path from existing solutions, your organization can take advantage of a variety of techniques and technologies. For example, neuromorphic computing suggests that you could leverage biomimicry, moonshot thinking and ecosystem thinking.

Early-Stage Technology Disruptions and Trends Set to Define the Future of Business Systems

https://www.latimes.com/b2b/ai-technology/story/2025-06-22/gartner-tech-trends-ai-cloud-security

Through its research and surveys of C-suiters, Gartner, Inc. has identified the most likely emerging technology disruptions that will impact businesses and define the future of business system

‘Cyborg Tadpoles’ With Super Soft Neural Implants Shine Light on Early Brain Development
